What a dollar (or a donated good) can bring your experience...



Have your youth each bring a dollar or a donated item (canned food, mac 'n cheese, diapers, toothbrush, etc.) to each Concert. For each dollar they donate, they will receive a free hot dog, bottle of water, can of soda, or a specialty coffee item! The money donated go towards the band/artist for the evening. This greatly keeps bands/artists to keep coming back to The Lighthouse Cafe. The donated items go to a food pantry to help feed those in need.

Well, it's been a rough holiday. My home pc got a nasty virus and was hacked. It's amazing how fast you can get virused and hacked as soon as your anti-virus expires! My laptop also decided to die too. So I have not been able to get on, promote, leave lame blogs like this, etc. Me and my wife both got into car accidents over the last week, while my wife's was more serious, she and my 4 year old are okay. However, I do not have a car to drive at the moment. Hallelujah...what else can you do but to praise God for he has something awesome planned.

Speaking of awesome, TRUE WITNESS is coming in on Friday and they are going to kick off our first WORSHIP NIGHT since we re-opened the doors. It will be a blessed time and we are looking forward to it.

11/23/2009 -
Indeed, it has been awhile...After what will be a 7 month absence, we are finally opening our doors again. We finally found a home for our church and for all of our ministries! We will be kicking off with a NEW YEARS EVE BASH/GRAND RE-OPENING!!! The new location: 4780 Duanesburg Road, Schenectady, NY  12056
We are now doing what we did on Saturday nights on FRIDAYS nights now! Join us on Thursday, December 31st on New Year's Eve as ONE LESS STAR, SHAKEN 'N STIRRED, and some other fine Christian bands rock us through the night into the new year! Free admission, free snacks, free coffee! Some hot food is available for a donation. Bottled water and soda are available for a small monetary donation or a donation of a canned good, personal care item, etc.
Come join us, the doors open at 7pm as the night starts!

Gosh, a lot has happened since I last posted! Please join us for a concert at Fulmont Community Church in Johnstown, NY  12095. It will be the last concert that The Lighthouse Cafe will be hosting for awhile. Pray that we come back strong from the next location that we set-up shop in. Pray for a good home for The Lighthouse Cafe Ministry. This Saturday night at the Fulmont Community Church, TIM SERDYNSKI and DUSTEN GANN will play some awesome music and we will provide some good food and beverages. Come on out and support us, it's the last one for awhile.

NIGHT AT THE SPA, the fundraiser for The Lighthouse Cafe was a huge sucess! Thank you to all who stopped in and contibuted. Also, 52 people turned out last night at the ONE LESS STAR/BISHOP DE VONE & THE CHOSEN ONES concert. Thank you to all who came.

Be sure to come next Saturday evening, May 16th, when JUSTIN TRANQUIL and ECHOES IN THE SILENCE come to rock The Lighthouse Cafe!

Ladies, check out tomorrow night at The Lighthouse Cafe. We will be having haircuts, facials, nails, massages, make-up, gourmet food sampling, live music, vendors, and more! Ladies come get pampered by some of the best in the business. Why are we doing this you say? To raise money for The Lighthouse Cafe Ministry! Since we are a not for profit Ministry, we need help in order to reach the rest of the world and help pay for things such as this website, advertisements, etc. Please come out and support us. Help us to keep reaching the people. There will be package deals for NIGHT AT THE SPA, tomorrow night. Invite all of your lady-friends!

Also, don't miss The Lighthouse Cafe concert this Saturday night featuring ONE LESS STAR and BISHOP DE VONE & THE CHOSEN ONES! Both of these bands are awesome and totally worth coming to see. Not to mention the concert is FREE!!! Come down, get some good food and coffee for a donation which goes to the bands playing. It helps them come back again next time if you give a little.

And finally, last but not least, we are mixed on how to write this because we are saddened yet very happy for Promoter/Booking Manager KRISTEN EAGAN. Please be sure to congratulate KRISTEN on her new job with PULSE 96.7 as their PROMOTER!!! Unfortunately, it puts us at a serious dissadvantage to us because she had done a great job doing the same job here for The Lighthouse Cafe. Please pray for us that we can find someone who can help fill her shoes...even one shoe would be great...lol...

Be sure to stop in tomorrow night (Saturday, April 25th @ 7:00PM) to see Destiny Management Group host the evening! They will be bringing Philadelphia's best Hip-Hoppers to minister God's word through Hip Hop Music. These ladies and gentlemen are a fantastic bunch and we welcome them whole-heartedly! The night will feature: LOST AND FOUND, KEE KEE ROSS, & RONIN WILLIAMS. Hallelujah! God is so amazing! I love it when I am utterly wowed by God! The Lighthouse Cafe has been given a whole sound system donated for free! This happened yesterday...I am still in awe in God's ability to floor me. Anyway, we will now have a jamming coffeehouse; we'll break in the system on New Year's Eve!!!

It's been 2 weeks since I last posted. Since then, since I announced the NEW YEAR'S EVE BASH / GRAND RE-OPENING, I lost one band and added 3 more on the bill. Here's what the night is shaping out to be:

God is and has been good. For those of you wondering how things are going, well here you go.

My laptop is fixed and upgraded! My home PC works now. My car was fixed. It turned out there wasn't as much wrong with it. Hallelujah! It runs again and it was cheaper than I anticipated!

TRUE WITNESS was awesome on Friday night; what a great night of worship and rock! We can't wait to have them again!

This Friday, we will have 3 bands coming in from out of state. ARMORY and NORTH OF ORANGE are from Massachusetts and SEVENTH CORVUS is from Pennsylvania! Please come out and show them your support. All 3 bands are a heavier Christian Rock. Bring the teens and invite your rocker friends!
